A LEEP procedure is for Paps normally worse than ASCUS caused by HPV, a virus which can cause a urinary infection. This treatment process is mostly done for moderate or severe dysplasia. It takes about 3-4 weeks for the cervix to heal after this process, in which women are instructed to refrain from intercourse, douching, and using tampons.
