Leep Cone Biopsy




Leep cone biopsy is used for removing vaginal wart and treating serious cases of cervical dysplasia. These procedures remove the areas with abnormal cells, in hopes that when the cervix heals, it will heal with normal, healthy tissue. When a woman has a Pap smear resulting in moderate or severe dysplasia, the most commonly recommended treatments are a loop electrosurgical excision procedure or a cervical conization. Leep cone biopsy is used for removing vaginal wart and treating serious cases of cervical dysplasia.

These procedures do have a few more associated risks in a small percentage of cases.
