Cone Biopsy-HPV
The cone biopsy-HPV is used for removing abnormal tissues caused by human papillomavirus, for instance, cervical dysplasia.
A small amount of normal tissue around the wedge of abnormal tissue is also removed so that a margin free of abnormal cells is left in the cervix. This method can be used to both diagnose and treat abnormal cervical tissue. The abnormal tissue is removed and sent to a lab for examination.
